The pepper kick hits fast and lingers just right, and that crunchy dragee coating gives a nice contrast to the chewy licorice inside. I've tried a lot of hot licorice, but these have a proper "trøkk" that actually delivers.
Finally, licorice that actually respects the word "hot" - the dragé coating gives a nice crunch before the pepper really settles in. I ate three pieces and my mouth was buzzing for a good while after, which is exactly what I wanted from a 200g bag.
The pepper kick hits right after the first chew and lingers just long enough to remind you it's there. I've had plenty of salty licorice but this one has a proper bite that keeps me reaching for another piece.
